Easy Arrow Puzzle

How to play Arrow Puzzle

Arrow Puzzle is a calm logic game played on a board packed with arrows. Each arrow points in one direction. Click an arrow and it slides off the board the way it is pointing, with its whole body following the head. Your goal is to clear every arrow from the board.

Rules

  • An arrow can leave only if the path between its head and the edge of the board is empty.
  • If another arrow is in the way, the arrow you clicked bounces back and you lose a life. Easy, Medium and Hard give you three lives; Expert and Master give you two.
  • Zoom in on big boards: pinch on a phone, or hold Ctrl (Cmd on a Mac) and scroll, or pinch on a trackpad. Drag to move around while zoomed. A tap that lands just beside an arrow still picks that arrow.
  • Lose all your lives and the round is over, but you can keep going once with an extra life, or try the same board again right away. The clock only records your time; there is no time limit.
  • Every board is built so that it can be cleared. You never need luck, only careful looking.

Tips for clearing the board

On easier boards, start at the edges: arrows near the border that point outward are often free, and removing them opens lanes for the arrows behind them. Before you click, trace the line from the arrowhead to the edge with your eyes. Long winding arrows are easy to misread: the direction that matters is the one the head points, not the way the body bends.

When a board feels crowded, look for chains. One arrow often blocks another, which blocks a third. Clear the chain from the outside in. If you are stuck, use a hint: it highlights one arrow that can leave safely.

Difficulty levels

Easy boards never have more than three free arrows at once, so there is always something to find but never a crowd of choices. On Medium at most two arrows are free, and some blocked arrows have long open lanes in front of them that look free at a glance. From Hard upward never more than three arrows are free, whatever order you play in, and the arrow that becomes free is never the one sitting right against the arrow that just left: it starts several cells away. Many arrows are dead ends that free nothing when they go, so the trail breaks and the one arrow still free has to be found somewhere else on the board. Expert and Master grow the board, stretch the arrows into longer winding shapes, and give you two lives instead of three.
